Access University Systems (Access US) is a program created and directed by the Western Kansas Educational Compact made up of university and community college representatives to help individuals in western Kansas complete their bachelor's degrees without moving from their home communities. Fort Hays State University, Emporia State University, and Kansas State University have partnered with six community colleges to bring higher education opportunities to the people of western Kansas. By providing underwriting and marketing support as well as student scholarship funds of up to $750 per semester through the Access Us program, the Board of Regents and Kansas Legislature ensures that the degree program will be offered in its entirety.
One of the university partners will be the degree granting institution, but depending upon the program you choose, your courses will be taught by experienced faculty from Fort Hays State University, Emporia State University, and Kansas State University. You will take classes face-to-face and through IPTV at your local community college campus during convenient evening hours, and you will take the remainder of your courses online whenever it works best for you - day or night! Best of all, once you start a degree program offered through AccessUs, you have the assurance from the Kansas Legislature and Kansas Board of Regents that the program will be offered in its entirety.
